  Odnośnie samej jednostki, był to regiment formowany w Lizbonie, koszarowany w Alcantarze, stąd nazwa pułku. Został połączony w brygadę z 7 pułkiem. Brygada ta brała udział między innymi w słynnej bitwie pod Albuerą.
Modele właściwe dla jednostki z wcześniejszego okresu, przed zmianą mundurów około roku 1811.

[ENG] Regarding the unit itself, it was a regiment formed in Lisbon, barracks in Alcantara, hence the name of the regiment. He was joined in a brigade with the 7th regiment. This brigade participated, among others, in the famous battle of Albuera.
